Eventbrite – Create a Shortened Event URL

This guide explains how to create a shortened, custom Eventbrite event URL that is easier to share and remember.

When to Use This Guide

Use this process if:

  • You want a cleaner Eventbrite link for marketing or sharing

  • You need a branded or readable event URL

  • You do not want to use a third‑party URL shortener

Important Notes

  • Only the first part of the Eventbrite URL can be customized

  • The ending domain (e.g., eventbrite.ca) cannot be changed

  • You do not need to edit the event details to do this

Step 1: Go to Manage Events

  1. Log in to your Eventbrite account

  2. Navigate to Manage Events

  3. Find the event you want to update

Step 2: Open the Event (Do Not Edit)

  • Click on the event name to open it

  • Do not click Edit

This opens the event overview page.

Step 3: Locate the Event Link

  • At the top of the page, beneath the event name, you will see the event URL

Example format:

https://your-event-name.eventbrite.ca

Step 4: Customize the URL

  1. Click into the event link field

  2. Edit the first part of the URL to your desired name

✅ Customizable:

https://ramadan-fundraiser.eventbrite.ca

❌ Not customizable:

.eventbrite.ca

(Eventbrite automatically keeps the domain ending.)

Step 5: Save and Verify

  • Eventbrite saves the change automatically

  • Open the link in a new browser tab

  • Confirm the shortened URL loads correctly

Best Practices

  • Keep URLs short and readable

  • Avoid special characters

  • Use hyphens instead of spaces

  • Match the event name for consistency
