Email Send Monitoring via Google Postmaster
This guide explains how to monitor email sending performance for your domain using Google Postmaster Tools.
Suitable for IT and email marketing teams.
Step 1: Access Google Postmaster Tools
Open the following link while logged into the Gmail account that receives your emails:

Step 2: Add Your Domain
Click the ➕ Add button
Enter your domain:

Step 3: Verify Domain Ownership (DNS)
Google provides a TXT record similar to:
google-site-verification=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAdd this in your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy):
Go to GoDaddy → DNS → humanconcernusa.org
Click Add Record
Type: TXT
Host:
@Value: (paste Google’s verification value)
TTL: 1 hour
Save the record
⏱ Wait 2–10 minutes (sometimes up to 1 hour)
Step 4: Verify in Postmaster Tools
Return to Postmaster Tools
Click Verify
✅ Once verified, the domain appears in your dashboard
Step 5: Monitor Key Metrics (IMPORTANT)
Google Postmaster Tools only shows data after Gmail receives traffic
Send 5–10 normal emails from your work email to Gmail over the next 24 hours
Monitor the following tabs:
Key Tabs to Watch
Domain Reputation → should move to Medium then High
Spam Rate → should be 0.0%
Delivery Errors → should be 0
Authentication → SPF / DKIM / DMARC should all show Pass
📊 Data usually appears within 24–48 hours
Best Practices to Maintain Gmail Reputation
Send emails consistently (avoid long gaps)
Avoid including links for a few days after setup
No attachments initially
Avoid mass emailing right away
Keep Mailgun off the root domain
