Standard Operating Procedure: Business Track Account Management

This SOP outlines the procedures for activating, maintaining, and recovering access to your Business Track account to ensure uninterrupted access to merchant reporting and dispute management tools.

1. Initial Account Activation

If you are logging in for the first time, follow these steps to establish your access:

  1. Locate Credentials: Retrieve your User ID (e.g., cl.hussaif51) and your temporary password (sent via a separate email).

  2. Access Portal: Navigate to the Business Track website and click Merchant Login.

  3. Initial Sign-In: Enter your User ID and temporary password, then click Sign In.

  4. Security Verification: If prompted, enter the security code sent to your registered email address.

  5. Set Permanent Password: Follow the prompts to create a new, permanent password.

  6. Re-authentication: Once the permanent password is set, the system will require you to log in again using the new credentials.


2. Account Benefits & Features

Once logged in, you can utilize the following online tools:

  • Statements: View, print, or download merchant statements at any time.

  • Dispute Management: Research, track, and resolve card disputes online to reduce paperwork.

  • Reporting: Access popular merchant reports or schedule customized reports to be delivered to your inbox.

  • Merchant Alerts: Enroll in email notifications for sales, funding updates, and chargebacks.


3. Maintaining Account Activity

To prevent security-related access restrictions, note the following inactivity thresholds:

Complete the Password Reset process via "Having Trouble Signing In."

Must register for a brand new Business Track User ID.


4. Troubleshooting & Recovery

If you cannot access your account due to a forgotten password or a disabled status (due to 180 days of inactivity):

  1. Navigate to the Having Trouble Signing In link on the login page.

  2. Complete the Password Reset process.

  3. Once the password is reset, the account will automatically re-activate.
