By default in Jotform, form duplication across accounts is blocked unless the owner explicitly allows it. Here’s exactly what you need to enable 👇
🔐 Required Setting to Allow Copying Between Accounts
✅ On the SOURCE account (the original form owner):
Open the form
Go to Settings → Form Settings → Show More Options
Find:
👉 “Allow others to copy this form” (sometimes labeled as “Allow form duplication”)
Turn it ON
Save
🔁 Then Copy the Form
Once enabled, you can use:
Option A: Copy Link
Take the form URL and add:
/copyExample:
https://form.jotform.com/1234567890/copyOpen while logged into the target account → duplicate
Option B: Collaboration (Still works best)
Share form with target account
Then duplicate inside that account
🚫 Why You Couldn't Copy Before
Jotform blocks copying by default because:
Prevents unauthorized cloning of forms
Protects templates and proprietary workflows
Avoids abuse/spam replication
⚠️ If You DON’T Have Access to Source Account
Then this setting can’t be enabled, so your only options are:
1. Ask the owner to:
Enable “Allow copy”
OR share as collaborator
2. Manual workaround:
Rebuild form manually
Or use downloaded
.jfiffile (if they send it)
💡 Important (People Miss This)
Even after copying:
Payment integrations ❌ won’t transfer properly
Email notifications ❌ may break
API / Zapier ❌ needs reconnect
👉 Always reconfigure in the new account
